2025 High School Softball Home Run Leaders: Alabama Dominates the Nation

Alabama high school softball is crushing it — literally.
Recent stats reveal that the state is home to the nation’s top two high school softball home run hitters.

Leading the charge is Lilly Bethune of West Limestone (Lester, Ala.), who has belted 27 home runs this season. Close behind is Corey Goguts of Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, Ala.), who’s sitting at 26 home runs. Together, these two sluggers have made Alabama the epicenter of high school power hitting.

Across the country, 13 players have launched 20 or more home runs this spring — a remarkable display of offensive firepower. One standout is freshman phenom Baylor Bockhaus from Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, La.), who ranks third nationally with 24 home runs as her team prepares for the playoffs.

Top High School Softball Home Run Hitters (2025 Season)

1. Lilly Bethune, Sr. — West Limestone (Lester, Ala.) — 27 HRs

Bethune has been unstoppable this spring, hitting multiple home runs in back-to-back games on March 18 and 21. Committed to Middle Tennessee State, she’s leading the Wildcats toward their 40th win of the season.

2. Corey Goguts, Jr. — Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, Ala.) — 26 HRs

An Ole Miss commit, Goguts has piled up 43 extra-base hits for the Huskies. She’s gone deep three or more times in five games, including a dominant three-homer performance on March 25.

3. Baylor Bockhaus, Fr. — Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, La.) — 24 HRs

Already making national noise, the freshman slugger has 39 career home runs and hit bombs in four straight games to open the season. Between March 18-22, she added seven more home runs to her total.

T-4. Lorelei Gamble, So. — Dripping Springs (Texas) — 21 HRs

With a scorching .564 batting average and 36 extra-base hits, Gamble has powered Dripping Springs into the playoffs with multiple multi-homer games.

T-4. Aubree Jones, Sr. — Lamar Consolidated (Rosenberg, Texas) — 21 HRs

Hitting an unreal .656, the Arkansas Tech commit has six multi-home-run games for her 19-3 Mustangs squad, which is heading confidently into postseason play.

T-4. Anaya Romero, Jr. — La Joya Community (Avondale, Ariz.) — 21 HRs

Romero’s .767 average and six-game home run streak from March 25–April 7 make her one of the most dangerous hitters in Arizona. She’s committed to Utah State and hitting nearly .900 during that stretch.

T-4. Charley Spinks, Sr. — Bushland (Texas) — 21 HRs

Spinks crushed four home runs in one game on April 4 and went deep in seven straight contests from March 11–April 4. Her .769 average and 20 hits in 26 at-bats showcase elite consistency.

T-4. Hannah Wells, Sr. — Coahoma (Texas) — 21 HRs

A Texas Longhorn commit, Wells is excelling both at the plate and in the circle. She’s hitting .632 with 35 extra-base hits, and also owns a 0.55 ERA with 144 strikeouts in 63.2 innings pitched.
